Spain, packed for two

City walks in Barcelona, dinners at ten and Mallorca's coves: the 20 pieces we'd pack again for Spain.

Rugged cliffs dropping to clear blue water on Mallorca's northwest coast

Spain runs on its own clock. Days in Barcelona are for walking, evenings start late and Mallorca asks you to slow right down. Here's what we pack to keep up with all of it, together.

In Barcelona we walked the Gothic Quarter end to end and watched the sun set over the Sagrada Família from a rooftop with sangria. Dinner rarely starts before nine, so we pack outfits that move easily from a long afternoon to a late table.

Mallorca is our favourite place. We swam in the sea coves at Illetas, stayed among Sóller's orange groves and finished at a rooftop pool in Palma. The calas are rocky, the boats are small, and the light is beautiful, so pack for the water.
